From walking out of the medical school gates to entering an Art campus, from switching to copywriting from art direction halfway through her advertising career, Vidya has followed her passion all along. After four decades in Dubai and having witnessed sand dunes transform into skyscrapers, this charming young lady from India, proudly says she’s ‘Made in Dubai’. Her work reflects the pop culture around her, be it the awards won in Radio, Print, Design, Outdoor, Integrated or Advertising for Good. During career Vidya worked with such brands as Audi, Volvo, BMW, Visa, Ferrero, Procter & Gamble Nadec, Nokia, Lego The One, Jumeirah Hotels and many more. Her unconventional thinking and versatile approach, clubbed with her untiring passion for advertising, makes her one of the most sort-after creatives in town, with a lot of metal to her credit, including trophies of Cannes Lions, Clio, One Show, Effie, Dubai Lynx, New York Festivals, AdFest, MENA Cristals etc. Vidya has been a part of many international and local award juries at such festivals as Cannes Lions, AdFest, Clio, Lisbon Awards, Young Guns, and says that she learns as she shares her knowledge.

She is also one of the rare species that really knows how to have a work-life balance. When asked how she copes with advertising, this mom of a 18-year old, smilingly adds, ‘God has been kind, surrounding me with the most amazing people’. And when it comes to her 13-year relationship with Grey, she says, “While I have greyed here, it has added hues of experience to my life and career.”
